An awareness talk on HPV vaccination, cervical cancer, anaemia and menstrual hygiene was successfully conducted on 5 th May, 2026 at Ozewadi village subcentre , Tal. Pandharpur under the banner of SOGS. Dr. Pragati Gaikwad delivered an informative session highlighting: Importance of HPV vaccination for adolescent girls in preventing cervical cancer Awareness about cervical cancer Addressing common myths related to HPV vaccination How to take care during menstruation and when to approach doctor What's anaemia and healthy diet The program concluded with an interactive Q&A session, with around 60 participants actively engaging. The session was well-received and appreciated by all attendees, reflecting strong community interest in women’s health awareness.

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ,जनकल्याण व समिती, जनकल्याण साखळी रक्तपेढी अंतर्गत थलेसेमिया मुक्त महारष्ट्र अभियाना अंतर्गत थलेसेमिया दिनानिमित्त डॉ हेडगेवार रक्तपेढी,इंडियन रेडक्रॉस सोसायटी गोपाबाई दमाणी रक्तपेढी जनजागृती साठी व संस्था संघटित करण्यासाठी बैठक आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. यावेळेस इंडियन रेडक्रॉस सोसायटीचे सचिव बैठकीचे प्रस्तावना मांडले. थालेसेमिया दिनाचा महत्त्व सांगितले. डॉ हेडगेवार रक्तपेढीचे उपाध्यक्ष डॉ विजय शिवपुजे,सचिव श्री मिलिंद फडके, संचालिका डॉ किरण सारडा, पालक संचालक श्री राघवेंद्र मुजुमदार, वैद्यकीय अधिकारी डॉ सुमेधा कंदलगावकर , व्यवस्थापक श्री रंगनाथ जोशी गोपाबाई दमाणी रक्तपेढीचे अध्यक्ष श्री जयेश पटेल, डॉ ज्योती चिडगुपकर, मेडिकल कॉलेज चे पथोलॉजी विभागाचे डॉ गाडगीळ, इंडियन मेडिकल असोसिएशन चे अध्यक्ष डॉ मंठाळे, gaynocologist ऑर्गनायझेशनचे अध्यक्ष डॉ विजय पवार, रोटरी क्लब चे सर्व पदाधिकारी,जिल्हा शल्य चिकीत्सक सोलापूर चे वैद्यकीय अधिकारी डॉ काळे, डॉ राठोड फॅमिली प्लॅनिंग चे सर्व पदाधिकारी उपस्थित होते. महत्वाचे मुद्दे थ्यालेसेमिया दिनाचे महत्त्व, आजाराची माहिती, त्याबद्दल जनजागृती करणे. ट्रेनिंग ऑफ ट्रेनर, जन्मलेल्या बाळाचा आणि प्रत्येक गरोदर महिलेच टेस्टिंग करणं गरजेचं आहे. कौन्सलिंग करण्यात सुद्धा महत्त्वाचा आहे. गवर्नमेंट हॉस्पिटल मध्ये टेस्टिंग करना व टेस्टिंगची सोय करणे गरजेचे आहे. रक्तदानाचे प्रमाण वाढवणे. या सगळ्या विषयावरती बैठकीत चर्चा करण्यात आली.

The 1st Clinical Meeting of SOGS, held on 23rd April 2026 at IMA Hall, Solapur, focused on the theme “Managing Sepsis – What Every OB-GYN Needs to Know” and was attended by 77 delegates. Organized under the leadership of Dr. Vijay Pawar with support from Sun Pharma, the meeting covered key topics including infertility management, endometriosis, and sepsis in obstetrics and gynecology. Expert talks, case presentations, and a guest lecture highlighted early diagnosis, multidisciplinary management, and practical clinical approaches. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, sepsis guideline updates, and a vote of thanks, making it a highly informative and engaging academic event.

The FOGSI REACH CME 2026 titled “Unlocking the Block” was successfully conducted on 18th April 2026 at Oberon Hotel, Solapur, under the aegis of the FOGSI Academic Initiative and organized by the Solapur Obstetric & Gynaecological Society. The program began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the welcome of dignitaries. Dr. Vijay Pawar, President, delivered the welcome address. A video message from FOGSI and AMOGS leadership was given. Dr. Urvashi Deshmukh conducted the MOC in the CME. The scientific sessions were thoughtfully structured and covered key aspects of infertility. The first session included a detailed discussion on abnormal semen analysis by Dr. Bahubali Doshi, along with an insightful talk on assessing the fallopian tube by Dr. Monica Umberdand, focusing on practical approaches such as HSG and the relevance of laparoscopy. The second session addressed crucial decision-making areas in infertility management. Dr. Milind Shah spoke on ovulation induction and the appropriate timing for referral to ART, while Dr. Indraneel Jadhav discussed the challenges and management of decreased ovarian reserve. Dr. Vijay Pawar elaborated on the role of adjuvants in infertility, emphasizing evidence-based usage and individualized patient care.
